History of the Kyiv economical institute of management
The Kyiv economical institute of management started its activity in 1992. The newly formed educational establishment which appeared in the circumstances of developing independent Ukraine, had to find answers to many questions, and first of all it was faced with the need to develop and upgrade the methodological base practiced for preparing specialists in the field of economy. | the economical education, introduction of actually required specialties and disciplines, strengthening foreign languages educational base and novel economic sciences, referring to the foreign countries experience. Those were the main tasks that aimed at preparing high-quality specialists of the international level in new areas of economy which were largely understaffed with high-quality professionals possessing in-depth knowledge and skills.

For its first 10 years of existence the institute has achieved high level of material and technical base; it has selected and formed high-skilled staff and scientific-methodological base vital to support the studying process. In particular, in 2000, two own building blocks of the academic facilities were put in commission of the total area of 5000 ě2. The computerization of the process has also reached the high level. In 2002, the institute was accredited as the institution of higher education conforming to the third educational-proficiency level.
In 2004, the Kyiv economical institute of management underwent fundamental changes which in their root aimed at developing new unconventional approach to the concept of providing educational services, improving operational activity of the institute in general and strengthening international collaborations backgrounds. The Institute was re-registered as the private institution of higher education and accredited conforming to the forth educational-proficiency level. The founders of the new institution were professor, DPhil in technics, academic of the International human resources academy and Ukrainian academy of technology Rozhok Volodymyr Davydovych, american company “Bosh International Inc.” and firm with foreign investments «B&P, Ltd.».

Since that time new specialities and disciplines have been introduced targeting modern economical and social activity, new modern educational technologies have been adopted, such as: trainings, workshops, role plays, video lectures etc. As a result, the institute approached in its conformity existing standards for both domestic and international education, it managed to combine in the beneficial way traditional approach to education and unconventional ways and methods of arranging and conducting the studying process.
As of today the institute runs 6 faculties (economical, management, correspondence studies, evening studies, retraining and pre-entry study courses), as well as it runs business-school, economical-managerial college and scientific-study-production facilities. Besides the traditional forms of studying, such as full-time tuition, the institute has recently introduced new and quite popular nowadays form of studying – distant.
Constant development is ongoing in other areas, in particular, in the collaborations of the institute with other educational establishments. So far, the institute cooperates with leading institutions of higher education in the USA and countries of Western Europe. This collaboration provides opportunities to obtain international certificates and diplomas issued by foreign institutions of higher education.
The Institute is the member of the Association of educational institutions in Ukraine of not-state form of incorporation, of the International human recourses academy, of the Kyiv commercial-industrial chamber and Chamber of industry and commerce of Ukraine.
“Ekomen” is a General partner in Ukraine to the Global educational system ''All+Together'' which enables its graduates to receive diplomas and certificates of the higher education institutions in the United States of America and Western Europe countries.
Within the international program "All+Together". The Business School starts on implementing new and modern educational programs: Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Insurance and Health management, Security management, Stock exchange management, aiming at retraining and providing the second higher education.
